Jakarta. First Media, Indonesia's first provider of integrated telecommunications and multimedia services, won the Top IT & Telco 2016 award in the Top Fixed Internet Provider category in Jakarta on Wednesday (23/11).
The Top IT & Telco 2016 was organized by tech-focused iTech magazine, in cooperation with the Indonesia Consultant Company of Telematics Association (Aspekti), Indonesian IT Consultant Association (IKTII), Society of Telematics (Mastel), Indonesia Telecommunication Company Association (ATSI), Indonesian Big Data Association (ABDI), and IT Forum of State-Owned Enterprises (Forti) with the full support of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
Various IT and telecommunications companies, as well as government institutions, were assessed based on a customer-satisfaction survey in six cities and region across Indonesia, namely the greater Jakarta area, Surabaya (East Java), Semarang (Central Java), Medan (North Sumatra), Makassar (South Sulawesi) and Balikpapan (East Kalimantan).

Media, which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary and the
achievement of having signed up 1.8 subscribers, fulfilled all the
criteria to win, namely brand image, brand awareness and brand
engagement.
Meena K. Adnani, content and marketing director of Link Net, cable TV and broadband internet operator and part of the First Media Group, considered the award as customers' recognition for all the hard work done by First Media.
"We're constantly striving for excellence and customer satisfaction. We are very grateful that the customers recommended First Media to their friends and families," Meena told the Jakarta Globe on Thursday.
Meena said First Media is committed to providing the best for its customers and that it launched a loyalty program called First Rewards last week.
First Rewards gives customers a chance to be invited for movie premieres, redeem discounts at several merchants and receive vouchers and tickets as bonus rewards.
"The challenge is to make sure the customers are happy, not only with our products, but also with our services," Meena said.
First Media and the Jakarta Globe are both affiliated with the Lippo Group.
